GLOSSED AUTO DETAILING | STATUS MAINTAINED

WARRANTY POLICY

Prepared 13 October 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy describes the workmanship commitments Glossed Auto Detailing may provide for ceramic coating and paint correction services, and any paint protection film installation where offered. It does not replace rights that apply under South African law or a separate manufacturer warranty.

2. Expected coating durability

Current packages may include Nasiol XR03 (approximately 18 months), Nasiol ZR53 (approximately 3 years) and Nasiol NL272 (approximately 5 years). These are product/marketing durability estimates under suitable preparation, installation, use and maintenance—not a promise of identical gloss, slickness, water behaviour or protection for the entire period. Confirm product-specific claims against the current manufacturer documentation before publishing.

3. Workmanship concerns

If you believe a defect resulted from Glossed’s preparation or application, contact us promptly at bookings@glossed.co.za or 079 253 5298. We may ask to inspect the vehicle and relevant area. Please do not polish, compound, chemically strip, recoat or otherwise alter the affected area before we have had a reasonable opportunity to inspect it, unless urgent action is reasonably necessary.

4. Assessment and remedy

We will assess the concern fairly, considering the service performed, photographs and job records, vehicle condition, maintenance history and any relevant manufacturer guidance. Where a workmanship defect is established, we will discuss an appropriate remedy, which may include rectification or reapplication of the affected area, subject to applicable law. This policy does not promise that every concern will be resolved through reapplication or that a remedy available by law will be restricted.

5. Matters not ordinarily caused by workmanship

Examples that may fall outside a workmanship warranty include scratches, stone chips, impact damage, accidents, vandalism, improper washing or drying, abrasive or automatic car washes, unsuitable chemicals, neglect, delayed removal of corrosive contamination, bird droppings, tree sap, industrial fallout, hard-water deposits, fuel or solvent exposure, paint failure, peeling, clear-coat defects, previous repairs/resprays, and normal performance changes over time. These examples do not automatically determine a claim; the cause and applicable legal rights must be considered.

6. Maintenance

Customers should follow the aftercare instructions supplied for the specific coating and vehicle. Use suitable automotive wash products and methods, avoid abrasive washing, and remove harmful contamination as soon as reasonably practical. Maintenance requirements should be practical and consistent with manufacturer instructions.

7. Paint correction

Paint correction is an improvement process, not a guarantee that every scratch or defect will be removed. We prioritise preservation of the paint system and may leave defects where further correction presents an unreasonable risk. The Paint Correction Service Agreement explains these limitations.

8. Manufacturer warranties and PPF

Any manufacturer warranty for a coating or PPF is governed by the manufacturer’s own terms, eligibility rules and registration requirements. Where PPF installation is offered, our workmanship assessment concerns installation issues reasonably attributable to Glossed; it does not turn a manufacturer product warranty into a Glossed guarantee.

9. Statutory rights and contact

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Contact: bookings@glossed.co.za | 079 253 5298 | glossed.co.za.
